I Spent a Majority of my Life In and Out of Foster Care...

Chelsea’s Real Life Story

I spent a majority of my life in and out of foster care. When I was at my lowest I was kicked out of the YWCA and a number of high schools and had no where to turn. I approached Carmen and she helped me find a temporary home so I was not completely homeless. I then experienced so much HOPE through being adopted by this same family.

When things looked completely hopeless and I was almost homeless, God provided a place for me to live, a family and belonging. I experienced God’s love through that family and finding great community at a church and God’s Grace.

Through that faith community and through YFC I was able to get connected to Ranger Lake Bible Camp where I could serve and grow in my faith. Through attending that camp, and because of wise mentorship, I found direction to go to Bible School at Briercrest, to further my faith. My goal is to be a youth worker someday, so I can help other kids find the same HOPE I have found in Christ.

help us bring hope to more kids
