Psalm 141

I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me;
hear me when I call to you.
May my prayer be set before you like incense;
may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

How much does Jesus enjoy hearing our prayers?
The sweet incense that this psalm says it is.

Do we approach God believing that He enjoys it as much as sweet incense? Or do we believe it is like throwing rotting flesh at Him?

When we take the time to commune with God in some way shape or form, with a pure heart, He loves that deeply. He modelled it for us.

Throw up some incense. Be mindful that Jesus wants to hear it. Throw up whatever comes to mind. Lament, praise, petition, silence, examen.

Let it be a sweet, sweet sound in His ears.
