Psalm 135

I know that the Lord is great,
    that our Lord is greater than all gods.

When was the last time you were thankful that you follow Jesus and not some other "god" or religion. Seeing the way people strive in other beliefs, how they toil constantly to gain approval, never knowing if they've gotten it or not... Well it just makes me happy to know and follow Jesus. 

He hears my prayers, He speaks, He guides, He loves well, and He just comes through... Sometimes He just comes through. I get this God all to myself, and it pleases Him to have me think that! It pleases Him to give me good things. "Even you, though you are evil, still give good gifts to your children, how much more does your heavenly Father love to give good gifts to His children."

I've gained His acceptance and get to actually interact with a living breathing God. How often do we stop to reflect on the differences Jesus has compared to the many other faiths that exist in this world...

The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
    made by human hands.
They have mouths, but cannot speak,
    eyes, but cannot see.

They have ears, but cannot hear,
    nor is there breath in their mouths.
Those who make them will be like them,
    and so will all who trust in them.
