YFC Saskatoon has a NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR!

Jeff Siemens has been hired as the NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF YFC Saskatoon | Youth Unlimited!

Jeff Siemens, our NEW Executive Director!

On behalf of the SYFC Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to introduce our new Executive Director, Jeff Siemens. Some of you may be acquainted with him from his previous roles as a youth pastor, camp director, or as an associate pastor as he served the last 10 years at West Portal Church. Jeff is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, making disciples and partnering with local churches. We are delighted to have Jeff join us as our leader.

The last two-plus years have been a challenging time for most everyone, including SYFC. Not only has our team adapted their ministry to the ever-changing Covid restrictions, but they’ve also been without an Executive Director.

We owe a debt of gratitude to Evan Peters, Corwin Thiessen and Kristin Clark (who has since moved on), for their faithful ministry as interim Executive Directors. As well, YFC’s staff should be commended for their determination and creativity in pursuing innovative ways to connect with young people despite the circumstances of the last couple years.

Finally, as a Board we want to also recognize you, our supporters, for your faithfulness in prayer, financial giving and volunteering. All of these are priceless gifts. May God bless each of you abundantly.

So we praise God for his provision for YFC Saskatoon | Youth Unlimited. Join us in giving thanks to Him!

A message from our new Executive Director

I couldn’t be more excited and humbled to answer the call of serving YFC Saskatoon | Youth Unlimited as the new Executive Director. I believe that God has been shaping and preparing me for this specific role and for a time such as this. And I’m convinced that, more than ever, the work of bringing HOPE to the lives of our youth in and around Saskatoon is critical.

In providing leadership, it’s my desire to see the youth that we are privileged to serve, answer the call. My hope is that everyone that we interact with will answer the call of accepting the life changing message of Jesus Christ for their lives. That they may find true HOPE, true life, and true belonging.

The mission of YFC, in sharing Jesus and His teachings with unreached youth, continues to be necessary and, by the grace of God, effective. So, I invite you to answer the call as well. The call to partner with us in this ministry to accomplish what God has called us to do. Together we can make a much greater and lasting impact.

God is calling His creation back to Himself. He is calling the youth of this city and beyond to come to know the truth in Jesus, the truth of who they really are as beloved children in the family of God. My commitment as Executive Director is to serve with excellence and to lead with humility and obedience to the wonderful work of sharing that truth. All for the glory of God and for the hope of our youth.

So please join me. Join me in answering the call and praying for the over 35,000 youth in Saskatoon and the thousands of youth in our surrounding communities). Pray that they may know the truth and the truth shall set them free.

Forward together,

Jeff Siemens
Executive Director

ABOUT JEFF SIEMENS

Jeff was born and raised just north of Saskatoon and has been serving in different ministry areas for almost 20 years. Before joining Youth For Christ, he provided leadership as a youth pastor, a camp director, and an associate pastor. Jeff is passionate about spreading the gospel of Jesus and seeing lives transformed by this good news.

After coming to faith through the investment of a youth worker in his life, Jeff knows just how powerful and effective a ministry like YFC can be in the lives of young people. And it’s for that reason why Jeff is so dedicated to strengthening the organization of YFC and supporting the work of our staff.

His greatest blessing is his family; his wonderful wife Jennifer and their three kids (Maelle, Brody, and Jada). Jeff and Jen have been married since 2005 and are so thankful for their partnership in ministry and parenting. Besides his family and his work, Jeff enjoys being active in sports. You can often find him (and hear him) in the hockey rink, coaching his son’s minor hockey team. He always loves the outdoors and looks forward to camping with his friends and family.

Please pray for Jeff, his family, and his ministry as he leads YFC Saskatoon | Youth Unlimited for the glory of God and the hope of our youth.
