KRISTIN DUCHAK
STEPPING STONES DIRECTOR

Kristin Duchak grew up in Martensville, Saskatchewan. She began attending West Portal Church in elementary school and is still there today. Seeing the role that her youth leaders had in her life, she desired to be involved in youth ministry to impact youth the way she had been impacted. After high school she attended Bethany College and graduated with a Pastoral Ministry degree.

Kristin took a detour and went to the University of Saskatchewan earning a Kinesiology degree. Beginning in high school Kristin started to volunteer with the youth ministry at West Portal and this continued through university. Not long after this God laid a familiar calling on her heart to return to working with youth. In 2019 Kristin began working for the Salvation Army in a group home for teen girls. This led to a new found love for at-risk youth.  She began working at Youth for Christ in the Fall of 2019 with the desire to share her love for Christ with others and to have them come to know the same hope and love.

In her spare time she loves to watch hockey, cheering with fervor for the Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins. Drinking coffee, especially with friends is one of the things that gives her life. She also enjoys anything “Lord of the Rings.”
