Champions crowned!

It has been a busy 3 weeks since my last update.  The Disorganized Sports on Tuesday mornings at Mayfair School continues with 8 to 10 kids showing up.  Every week, the game is different than the last Tuesday morning, the kids playing basketball, soccer and finishing with a floor hockey game.

Drop-In on Tuesday nights- we had 38 plus kids last Tuesday night.  These kids are coming hungry due to mostly economic conditions.  Menu planning has been fun as we serve meals every week.  Kids are inviting their friends.  Please consider a financial gift to help us continue to feed these kids.  Our volunteer base is down with the loss of the Horizon students.

YFCHL- the playoffs finished last night with the Tigers winning the Stanley Cup (Seniors) and the Chiefs winning the Kelvin Cup (Juniors).  Two of the boys I drive on a weekly basis celebrated their cup wins.  The rest were disappointed about the loses.  Two of my boys celebrated birthdays in April with 1 more birthday in May.  A trip to Fuddruckers is scheduled for this coming Saturday

Friday Night Bible Talk has been cancelled for the foreseeable future.

The Summer Programming will be starting soon.  We have been approved for 3 of the 5 grants we applied for (2 for Saskatoon and 1 for Waldheim).  At this present time, we have not yet hired anyone for the Saskatoon positions.

PRAYER REQUEST
-Pray for volunteers for the Drop-In.
-Please pray for the right students to apply for the summer programming.
-Please pray for my support.  During this next 4 months, donations are historically slow in coming and this puts a strain on my support account.

Also, remember our Golf Challenge on June 15th at the Willows.  We need a minimum of 60 golfers plus hole sponsors.  If you need more information, please give me a call on my cell 306-221-9820, email me at millsjl@sasktel.net or go to our website yfcsask.com and go to "Golf Challenge".

Leslie and I want to thank you for your prayer and financial support.  If you require prayer for anything, please let me know.
