ELLA LAUBER-HAMM IS PART OF PROJECT SERVE BELIZE 2018!

Dear Friends and Family,

I am sending out this letter to you because I would love to share with you a unique opportunity that I get to take part in this February of 2018, where I get to go on an all youth missions trip called Project Serve. I will be heading off along with 11 other youth from the area of Saskatoon to take part in this amazing opportunity in Belmopan, Belize!

Although we don’t have all the details on what we will be taking part in when we are in Belize, we will be continuing a construction project at the King’s Children’s Home while the team stays at a YWAM base a short drive away. The King’s Children’s Home is an orphanage that has been close at heart to the Project Serve community ever since their first time down there 15 years ago, with over 65 amazing kids that are guaranteed to steal the heart of whoever they meet. When the team isn’t working on our project, we are fortunate enough to play and spend a lot of time to meet and show these kids as much love as we can. We will be experiencing a lot and learning a lot more than what you can learn here in the first world. It’s a very unique and incredible trip, and I can’t wait to grow in my faith and learning and share it with all of you on the way.

The trip is going to be amazing when the time comes, but it also is a journey to get their to begin with. The trip requires a lot of support from friends in family in many ways, and that can be through prayer, support, encouragement and/or financial aid.

Prayer is incredibly important. Knowing that we have people praying for us as we embark on this adventure to be safe and learn and grow is very significant, as well as your support and encouragement which can be very uplifting and make our journey more exciting for us and for you!

Financial aid is another thing that would be helpful along the way. Each youth that will be heading down to Belize, including me, had a goal to raise 2800 dollars by themselves to put towards the trip, and $1200 by the middle of December. The money itself is given to the Belize trip itself. Not me, but everyone and everything taking part in this mission. Donations are very welcome, whatever amount it may be!

If you are planning on donating, you can easily and safely do it online through the YFC website by clicking on the Donate Now button below. If you donate online it can greatly reduce administration time and money, and you will instantly get your tax receipt. If you prefer to write a cheque then you can make it our to Youth for Christ and mail it to 1338 Ave B North Saskatoon, S7L1G5. You will then receive your tax-deductible receipt at the end of the year.

Any way to support the trip is greatly appreciated, and no one way is better than any other. Thank you for letting me welcome you to become part of this journey with me. I’m excited to learn all I can through this experience and am excited to share it with all of you! Feel free to text me at 306-491-7686  or email me if you have any questions about the trip and the journey to get there.
