Carmen was born in Calgary Alberta.  Her and her family moved around a number of different times before they moved to Osler Saskatchewan, 20 minutes north of Saskatoon, where she currently resides. Carmen loves to play guitar, piano, board games, basketball, frisbee, baseball. She also loves travel, spend time with friends and family and be outdoors.

After high school she spent a year working various jobs, including her first summer at Ranger Lake Bible Camp followed by two years with Venture Teams International.  She returned to Ranger Lake Bible Camp to serve for 7 more summers as anything from a cabin leader, to a volunteer cook, to Chapel Director and Camp Videographer. These experiences in ministry are where she really decided that she had a passion for ministry and youth.  After Venture Teams, Carmen spent three years at Briercrest College and Seminary where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry in 2014.

After graduating from College Carmen spent one year working at both Camp Kadesh, RLBC and Waitressing, this is where she found out about SYFC.  She has been at Saskatoon Youth For Christ since September of 2015.  She has a huge passion for sharing Christ’s message of hope with the local youth and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
