brett HILDEBRANDt IS PART OF PROJECT SERVE BELIZE 2017!
Dear Friends and Family,
I am writing to let you know about the exciting news of my acceptance into the 2017 Project Serve mission team to the Central American country of Belize. The team is run through an organization called Saskatoon Youth for Christ. Myself and ten of my peers from the Saskatoon area will be visiting the country this upcoming February for twelve days.
During our time in Belize, we are planning on doing a construction project for the King’s Children’s Home, which is an orphanage that we will be partnering with. The orphanage is currently home to over one hundred children, ranging from ages one to seventeen. Our hope is to help them develop the land around the home to become more self-sustaining; we will also be fortunate enough to be able to spend some time with the kids showing them as much love as we can while we’re there.
It is going to require a lot of spiritual and financial support for this mission and I would like to invite you to be part of this amazing experience with me. A very important aspect of this trip is prayer and it is a great way to support myself and the team. It would be greatly appreciated if you would be able to pray for all of us before, during, and after the mission. Financial support would be very helpful as well and gratefully appreciated. For the trip, I am trying to raise a total of $2800 and I need to raise $1200 by the middle of December and the remaining amount by February 1. Any donation, whether $5 or $500, is greatly appreciated and 100% of the money goes towards the mission. Essentially, the more money we raise the more we can help out (i.e. buying paint for the house when it’s not originally in our budget).
You can donate online easily and safely through CanadaHelps!
You can donate easily and safely online through the Youth for Christ website: www.yfcsask.com or by clicking on the link provided. Donating online greatly reduces administration time and you will instantly get your tax receipt. If you would prefer to write a cheque you can make it out to Youth for Christ and mail it to 1338 Ave B North Saskatoon, SK S7L1G5. You will then receive your tax-deductible receipt at the end of the year.
Thank you for becoming a part of this amazing opportunity with me. I hope to learn and grow in many ways from this experience through the culture and people of Belize and the work that I will be doing there. Again if you are not able to donate financially, your prayers for myself and the team is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions about the mission or anything else, you can email me at email@example.com or text or call me at (306) 715-0794 anytime after school hours.
